We aren’t trying to make waves on social media, or start something that claims to be transformative for the scene. We just want to throw good parties and give our community something to be excited about.
We’ve had amazing nights with nothing more than a soundsystem, a vacant space, a makeshift bar, and great DJs. We're inspired and motivated by the craft of DIY soundsystem design. The name Scrubs Lane is actually a reference to a street in West London where much of the UK rave sound was pioneered. We attempt to channel the idea of those raves in our parties. Simple, unpretentious, community-driven.
We aren’t interested in being purists about a specific genre or scene. We aren’t rushing to project the image of being a cool party. We aren't trying to make an enormous profit with extortionate ticket prices that will make the party inaccessible for folks. We just want to create a space where anyone can pull up, have a great time, and feel connected and safe with each other through music.
